Polzeath

The charming coastal village of Polzeath - famous for its stunning beaches with golden sands and turquoise waters is a popular destination for families and surfers alike. Located just a few minutes walk down the hill, Polzeath has excellent surf conditions year-round. A very good place to learn surfing; it is one of the finest surfing beaches in the UK. The combination of Atlantic swells and the gradual shelving sandy beach produces longr, slow breaking waves that are ideal for improving surfing skills novice to advanced. There are lifeguards on the beach during the daytime in the season. Dolphins may sometimes be spotted and the surrounding coastline is a particularly good area for many types of coastal bird including puffins.
