  • Padstow Cycle Hire - Find all the equipment you need to get your family out cycling Cornwall.
  • Camel Ski School - Waterski or wakeboard with an experienced instructor on the River Camel.
  • The Point Golf Club - This challenging course is set in 230 acres of parkland looking out over Polzeath beach.

  • Mowhay Café. - A hop and a skip away, this family-friendly has a homely cottage feel inside, with a beautiful sun trap garden to enjoy a nice summer cream tea.
  • Also open for dinner - often themed, Sea Side at St Moritz Hotel. - Sample seasonal dishes made with regionally sourced ingredients.
  • The Oystercatcher is on the road to Polzeath and has a lively atmosphere, great views and good pub food. Dogs welcome to dine with their owners in the bar area.
  • Waterfront. It has a fantastic terrace to enjoy al fresco dining. Sit and admire beautiful sunsets over Polzeath beach to Pentire Point, whilst sipping a refreshing drink and digging into hearty dishes.

LOCAL BEACHES & COAST

Our coastline is blessed with some of the most beautiful cliffs and beaches in the British Isles, great for surfing and wild swimming, and winter walks along The Southwest Coast Path.

  • Polzeath
    A large sandy beach at low tide with gentle waves rolling in from the ocean - great for learning to surf and only 10 mins walk away.
  • Daymer Bay
    Softly sloping sand dunes and clear waters at the mouth of the Camel estuary. Dogs will love running around and taking a dip in the rock pools her whilst you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Camel Estuary. Only 5 mins walk from Wesdale.
  • Tregirls
    This is the beach opposite Daymer Bay beach, and a scenic 20 min. walk from Padstow. The flat, white sands are backed by shallow sand dunes, which dogs will love exploring.
  • Lundy Bay
    Wander through woodland and look out over the sea cliffs and sandy coves with this gentle, enjoyable walk.
  • The Rumps
    Discover Bronze Age burial mounds as you walk the coast path around this rocky outcrop.
